I recently downloaded Scan QR, an app that allows you to easily scan barcodes and QR codes. With just one tap, you can instantly scan various types of codes and the app automatically recognizes the type of code you are scanning. The scan result is delivered in less than a second, making it incredibly fast.

What sets Scan QR apart is that it offers more than just a simple item description. It provides information about the type of information encoded in the code, such as links, web pages, products, cards, videos, events, and more. Additionally, you can find product details with a brief description and even access video tutorials for different products, games, apps, and more. This app truly goes above and beyond.

Scan QR supports both barcodes and QR codes, allowing you to decode URLs, contact details, calendar events, emails, or any other kind of data. It even allows you to generate your own QR code using contact information, website URLs, email addresses, phone numbers, SMS, or any text you provide.

Some notable features of Scan QR include the ability to scan all types of commercial barcodes (UPC, EAN, ISBN), scanning barcodes and QR codes from photos saved on your phone's Photo Roll, and the ability to scan or create QR codes for texts, URLs, contact details, calendar events, emails, messages, and map locations.

Other convenient features include being able to perform actions related to the scanned QR code without leaving the app, the option to use the LED light while scanning in dimly lit environments and receiving vibrate or beep notifications to signal a successful scan.

You can also sort barcode search results by price or by site for easier navigation. In addition to scanning codes, Scan QR allows you to manually enter barcodes if needed. It also lets you save your favorite products for future reference and easily share product links with others.

While there is a free version of the app available, it may have limitations that are subject to change. To take advantage of premium features, including access to contact info, Facebook, Twitter, Vkontakte, LinkedIn profiles, geoposition, and Dropbox file link integration, you can choose a subscription plan.

The options for a standard subscription are a 1-year subscription with a 3-day free trial. Please note that a subscription with a free trial period will automatically renew to a paid subscription. You can cancel your subscription in the iTunes settings at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial period. Subscription payments will be charged to your iTunes account upon confirmation of your purchase and at the beginning of each renewal term.

If you decide to cancel your subscription, you can do so at any time through your iTunes account settings. However, the cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period or free trial to avoid being charged. After cancellation, you will be downgraded to the free service at the end of the current subscription period.

To fully access all features of Scan QR, you will need to allow access to your device's camera for scanning QR and barcodes, as well as access to your photos so that you can scan QR and barcodes from existing pictures on your device.
